Ed Sheeran confirmed "The Joker And The Queen" remix will feature Taylor

Many easter eggs had been suggesting us that Taylor would be featured on Ed Sheeran's remix of his song "The Joker And The Queen", one of the 14 songs off of Ed's last album, "=". Ed confirmed the release yesterday at the BRIT Awards. He said: "It comes out Friday and it's with Taylor Swift. We're literally announcing it in like an hour so you can have the exclusive." On Wednesday morning, he announced it via his social media, saying: "The Joker And The Queen featuring my good friend @taylorswift13 is out this Friday." He added a to the announcement post a short sneak peak of the track.

The first rumours were sparked after Ed had mentioned he would put out a remix of his song with an American artist, close to the end of 2021. Fans had also noticed Taylor's name on Ed's jacket in his music video for "Overpass Graffiti". Ed has recently shared a picture of him signing CD booklets with a card with a joker and a queen on them, with the queen looking a lot like Taylor. The last reason to speaculate appeared a few days ago, when fans noticed there was Taylor's name linked in the description of "The Joker And The Queen" lyrics video. But the hints weren't just from Ed's side - Taylor had been probably referencing to the collab too by carving an equals sign into the cake from her "I Bet You Think About Me" music video or when she was seeling Red (TV) playing cards on her official store.

We can't wait to hear the full song on Friday! And who knows, maybe there's also a music video coming. Ed spoke about "his new single featuring another artist being released on Friday". Could a single mean we'd get a music video? Guess we'll see on Friday!
